What does the future look like?

The world of work faces an epochal transition. By 2030, according to the a recent McKinsey Global Institute report, as many as 375 million workers—or roughly 14 percent of the global workforce—may need to switch occupational categories as digitization, automation, and advances in artificial intelligence disrupt the world of work.

How will we adapt?

“According to an article in Deloitte’s Insights, while automation may replace some aspects of a job, humans will still be necessary for other aspects — automation will augment human work. This will free people to focus on more “human” aspects that require empathetic problem-solving abilities, social skills, and emotional intelligence.”
