The Molecular Mycology Course at the Marine Biological Laboratory, which celebrated 25 years in 2021, proudly announced their campaign to raise $25,000 to establish the Deborah Hogan and Andrew Alspaugh Endowed Lecture. The lecture will be held annually as a component of the Molecular Mycology course at the ��Ůֱ������.

Deborah Hogan, PhD, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine and Andrew Alspaugh, MD, Professor of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine, were the second generation of directors for the MBLMolecular Mycology course. Alumni of the course themselves, Deb and Andy share a deep commitment to training the next generation of scientists in their field. As co-Course Directors, they focused on highlighting new scientific innovations and new scientific voices within mycology, helping the students to envision their own personal and professional paths within this vibrant scientific community.
